What this site keeps

Written plainly, because you should not need a lawyer to find out what happens when you read a website.

This is a small business, not a data company. Nothing here is sold, shared, or sent to an advertising network, and there is no third-party tracking on this site at all. What follows is simply what is kept and why, in plain words.

What is kept

If you are just looking around

Every page you open is recorded: which page, when, what you were reading before, your browser, and your IP address. Your address is turned into an approximate town on this site’s own server, using a database that lives on that server, so your address is never handed to a lookup company.

Why: so Meghan knows which pages couples actually read and which ones nobody opens.

If you use the chat

Your question is kept, and so is the answer it gave you. The conversation is not read by anyone but Meghan.

Why: the chat only knows what is written on this site. Seeing a question it could not answer is how she knows what to go and write.

If you send the form

Everything you type: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, your date, your venue, and your message.

Why: it is how she replies to you. It is written down before the email is even attempted, so your inquiry cannot be lost to a spam folder.

These are joined together

If you read a few pages, ask the chat something, come back on Thursday and then send the form, Meghan can see that as one visit rather than four unrelated events. That is deliberate and it is the honest thing to tell you.

Why: so she knows whether a question she answered turned into a wedding, and so she is not starting from nothing when she writes back to you.

Where it lives

On one server, and nowhere else

All of it sits on one server rented by this business, in the same place the site itself is served from. It is not in an analytics product, not in an advertising platform, and not in a spreadsheet anywhere else. Nobody outside the business has access to it.

What you can do about it

Your say

Turning the browsing part off If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, no page views or taps are recorded at all. Most browsers have this in their privacy settings, and this site checks for it before counting anything.
What that does not cover A question you put to the chat, and a form you send, are still kept. Those are not analytics: the first is how she improves her answers and the second is how she replies to you. If you would rather not have either, call or text her instead.
Asking for it to be removed Email or text and say so, and it will be deleted. You do not have to give a reason and nothing bad happens if you ask.
